Tulsa Deco Westhope
Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley, California 2012
The second wine of the Tulsa Deco series is a Napa Valley Westhope Cabernet Sauvignon. The label features the Westhope residence designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright for Richard Lloyd Jones, founder of the Tulsa Tribune. The element displayed on the label is the facade of the residence’s unique mailbox. The home is the only Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structure in Tulsa. This wine won a Silver medal in the 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
“The Westhope Cabernet Sauvignon nose is lively with red and black cherries, blackberries, juicy plums and red licorice. It is very clean and fruit driven leading to the palate that expresses a medium body, medium acidity and a moderately tannic kick to it with a hint of burnt licorice creeping through the wine. This is a friendly Cabernet Sauvignon being very easy to drink.” ~ Randa Warren Master Sommelier
